The customer requested to replace the old rubber flooring, which had an unpleasant odor, with modern waterproof vinyl laminate. During the removal process, we discovered that the subfloor (OSB) was completely rotten — it was soaked, soft, delaminated, and entirely covered with black mold.

We completely removed the old subfloor and replaced it with moisture-resistant plywood. The entire surface was treated with an anti-mold solution, all joints where leaks had occurred were waterproofed, and all plywood edges were sealed to protect against future moisture intrusion from below. Finally, we installed new waterproof vinyl laminate. The result — improved appearance, a visually larger space, and complete elimination of the unpleasant odor.
